Original art and hand made prints are created on archival materials.
Hand made prints are original works of art including mono prints, watercolor monoprints/drypoint etchings, and copperplate etchings. These prints are individually painted or inked on a plate and rolled through a press bed for the impression to be imprinted on paper. Each is individually numbered and signed by the artist (that would be me).
Giclee prints may be ordered for most original art work. These are produced on archival quality materials. Giclee (pronounced "zhee - clay") is a French term used to describe a professional print process. First the art is professionally photographed and then reproduced through a professional printing process to insure exacting color. These are completely different than a hand made print.
Pet Portraits: If you would like me to capture your pet's personality in art, always and forever, please contact me. Typically I paint a portrait (12” x 12”) in oil, on gallery wrapped canvas: $ 400. You would need to provide several quality photos. I will accept digitals or hard copy of 4-6 photos. At least one must have a clear representation of the pet’s eyes and coloring. Allow two months from the time I begin your painting for the final product, due to drying time of oil paint. (Larger paintings, more pets, painting of entire pet is available and price is contingent on what is requested.) Each additional pet is $150 in the same painting. If the canvas size is larger, the price will also increase.
I am happy to take photos for people local to San Antonio, Texas.
Commissions, including pet portraits will require a contract. A sketch of the proposed painting will be sent for your approval along with a contract for your signature and a 50% deposit. Please get in touch with me for more information by using the contact form.
Purchases can be made via...... tax and shipping is extra. All art will be insured for shipping.
