This is a water color mono print under dry point intaglio on hand made paper. I did make the paper. Each print was individually painted and so each is slightly different. This is a limited edition print. There are a total of five available. The process is interesting. I used a sharp tool to scratch my image into a lexan plate (it looks like plexiglass). This was my first plate. I used a second piece of lexan in the same size to create my watercolor image. This plate was run through the press on my paper, resulting in a water color print. Next I inked the first plate and cleaned the surface so that only the ink remained in the etched image. I then placed this plate over my watercolor and rolled it through the press one more time to have the line drawing added to the watercolor image. There are six available.
I love the frog and the flowers as well. He is featured on several of my art works. I feel this print is whimsical which make me feel happy.
